RESULTS

The Malaysian Computing Olympiad 2014 was held successfully on 19 and 20 April 2014 at Wisma Jobstreet, KL, with a total of 31 participants selected based on their outstanding performance in the MCC and online contests, namely the Croatian Open Competition in Informatics and the USA Computing Olympiad.

These 12 students will participate in the IOI training camps and the Asia Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO), the next stage in the selection process for the 2014 IOI.

The Malaysian Computing Olympiad (MCO) is the next round of IOI selection process after the MCC.

The upcoming MCO 2014 will take place as follows:

Location: Wisma JobStreet, KL

Dates: 19 & 20 April 2014.

Please arrange to arrive at the venue by 3pm on Saturday, 19 April for the test session. MCO 2014 will be held 8.30am-4pm on Sunday, 20 April. Detailed schedule to be announced.

Qualifiers: COCI and USACO has ended, so you know who have qualified. Please help us fill up the qualification list http://goo.gl/aMdu89 – we love crowdsourcing.

CMS Test Run: If you qualify for MCO 2014, we highly recommend you sign up to familiarize yourself with the online system that will be used in the actual competition. Even if you don’t qualify, you can sign up at http://goo.gl/cbNSUG. Deadline is Thursday, 13 March 2014.

Format: The MCO paper contains 6 programming tasks to be solved in 3 hours. You may download the past year paper for reference: MCO 2013 problems.

Official invitation letter will be sent to schools on 19 March 2014.
