The Malaysian Informatics and Programming Society (MIPS) is proud to organize the Malaysia Computing Olympiad (MCO) Training Camp during the upcoming school holidays.

Thank you to all who applied for a slot. After careful consideration, we have selected the following applicants to participate in the camp.

Background

The objective of this camp is to train students in C++ programming and algorithmic thinking in preparation for the MCO 2016.MCO 2016 is a algorithmic programming competition that will be the next selection process for the Malaysian national team to International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2016. The only language allowed will be C++. The MCO will be held tentatively in April 2016. The training camp is open only to the individual Gold, Silver and Bronze medallists in MCC 2015. We would like to note that attending this camp is optional. Individual MCC 2015 medalists who decide not to attend this camp will still qualify for MCO 2016 if they fulfill all the requirements.

Dates & Time

14-16 December 2015 (Mon, Tue, Wed) 2.30pm-5.00pm (Mon), 10.00am-5.00pm (Tue), 10.00am-1.00pm (Wed).

Venue

Creative Learning & IT Centre (CLiC),Level 2, Mini UTC Sentul,Jalan 2/48A, Sentul Perdana, Bandar Baru Sentul,51000 Kuala Lumpur.

Accomodation

You will need to arrange for your own accommodation and transport to and from the venue. We will not help with hotel booking, nor will we be responsible for safety outside the training period.

Trainers

The trainer for this camp is Dr. Ong Shien Jin (President of MIPS), who will be assisted by former Malaysian IOI participants and other trainers.

Equipment

Please bring your own laptop and charger.

Fees

This camp is run by volunteers of the Malaysian Computing Olympiad team. There is a registration fee of RM50 to confirm your place.
