The Malaysian Informatics and Programming Society (MIPS) is pleased to be organizing the Malaysia Computing Olympiad (MCO) Training Camp during the upcoming December school holidays.
Background
The objective of this camp is to train students in C++ programming and algorithmic thinking in preparation for the MCO 2023. MCO 2023 is a algorithmic programming competition that will be the next selection process for the Malaysian national team to the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2023. The MCO will be held tentatively in April 2023.
Eligibility
The training camp is open only to the Gold, Silver and Bronze medallists in MCC 2022. Due to space and manpower constraints, we can only host a limited number of students. Please note that attending this camp is optional. MCC 2022 medalists who decide not to attend this camp will still qualify for MCO 2023 if they fulfill all the requirements.
Application
In order to apply, please fill in the Google form that has been emailed to all MCC medallists.

Participants can choose to join in-person at UTAR or virtually via Zoom.
Dates
9-11 December 2022 (Fri-Sun), 9AM to 5PM every day.

UTAR Sungai Long Campus, Jalan Sungai Long, Bandar Sungai Long, 43000 Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia
Accomodation
You will need to arrange for your own accommodation, transportation and food. There are many eateries near the venue.
One option for accomodation is Parkway Inn Hotel.
Equipment
While computers are provided, all participants are highly encouraged to bring an individual laptop or computer that has WiFi capabilities for Internet access.
Fees
This camp is run by volunteers of the Malaysian Computing Olympiad team. Once you have been accepted, you will need to pay a RM50 deposit to confirm your attendance. You can choose to have this deposit refunded or donated to the society.
